Wood Block Two


 This texture sheet is very versatile. 

 On one sheet you get many different areas of nice bold pattern.

 Note, the hand carved blocks I make these molds from are not perfect. There are minor spots of damage and wear. The polymer clay sample to the left shows that well.

 I like this. I feel it give it character and complexity. 

 


 This small vessel, it's about one and one half inches by about three and one half inches, is covered with a veneer patterned with Wood Block Two.

 The technique used to create this veneer is often called 'texture sheet mokume gane' by polymer clay artists.

 This pen is covered in an ivory colored clay, impressed with wood block two. Burnt umber acrylic paint is used for the patina.
